KATIE SALOMON
Katie Salomon (nee Flanaghan) has performed at venues as diverse as Buckingham Palace, the Royal Society of Medicine, the Ritz, London’s Guildhall, Wembley Pavilion Arena, the Gherkin and Royal Hospital Chelsea.
She has recorded with record labels including Universal, Decca and Demon records, for artists including Aled Jones, Camilla Kerslake and The Choir Girl. Other recordings include performances of Bernstein Chichester Psalms, Janacek Otce nas and Britten Ceremony of Carols with choir Sarum Voices - highly recommended by Catherine Bott on the BBC Radio 3 programme “Building a Library”.
She has played with orchestras including the English Sinfonia, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Guildhall Symphony Orchestra and La Folia (formerly Sarum Orchestra), working with conductors such as Marin Alsop, George Benjamin and Andrew Litton, and performing in the major concert halls in Great Britain.
Katie studied harp with Charlotte Seale at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and since graduating with Sioned Williams, Principal Harp of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Katie is currently Teacher of Harp at Bryanston School.
